I personally own a few fabulous pieces of weaponry (later we'll see;), Desert Eagle Mark XIX .50 AE, Desert Eagle Mark XIX .357 Magnum - Polished Blue and Para-Ordnance P16-40 Black.
   In my opinion we need them, for self defense, sporting and of course hunting :) I don't believe in gun control, to be more exact - this is not going to do anything good, like it never did in other countries, where guns were totally prohibited, since any prohibition is not going to stop criminals from getting firearms. After all, it is a matter of choice too, if you think you don't need one, don't buy and that's it. Other's know better what they want for themselves.
