30" Dell U3011 display arrived after all. Got lost first time somehow, dunno how do you loose 30" monstrosity, but the seller sent another one overnight. All things well in the end, now I have my system almost as I wanted it :) Games do look better on 30 incher...
After 4 days of struggle, replaced all of the watercooling components, including every single bard, tube, reservoir, coolant, rediator, radiator fans... just the pump is old. Stupid Rampage IV won't recognize more than 20GB ram... Too tired, will try to flash bios tomorrow. And then OC, which is why I bought top level hardware anyway...
Kershaw Tilt, for which I have been waiting for so long, and frankly, quietly gave up hopes of receiving it at all, even though I had it on backorder for a long time. Well, few days ago the dealer contacted me and offered gray tilt, instead of the original black one I had on preorder. Since the color didn't matter that much, at least it wasn't pink, I took it. One weird knife to be honest, the biggest and most expensive boxcutter design I have ever come across, but I like it somehow. Build quality is really high, definitely on custom knife level. I suspect it was defunct long time. When PHP stopped processing form variables by default. Just realized the data was old and fixed the issue, along the way converted everything to modern HTML standards. Hard to keep up with the site of this size, sorry. Anyway, if you are a DE owner, and have not done so, please fill it out.
Modern browsers still suck in terms of adhering to specs. Fixed damn object tag, seemed to work ok, but no, now broke in Firefox. Got that worked out too. I still hate coding if/else etc based on browser. Even such a basic tag is not the same across the main browsers. Chrome started acting up on java applets too. Hangs every other time, and their runtime is slow as hell...
AISI 420 steel One of the oldest and mostwidel used steels in the knives and I had the composition off... I suspect it was messed up back when the database didn't support alloy groups with multiple compositions. Well, it's all good now, according to AISI specs.
Technically it is not a steel, but a non ferrous, Nickel Chromium alloy. Invented in US, then copied/modded by Soviets and now produced in China as GNiCr40Al4 steel. I don't know neither American nor Russian names for it, so if you have extra info please let me know.
Finally I did it :) For Android smartphones, 1.6 and higher, the chart or database application is out. It's a snapshot of October 5, 2010, later I'll add online synchronization. Most of the online functionality from the Interactive Knife Steel Composition chart is there, including comparison graphs.
Added last 3 weeks log of dishwashing. Nothing important to report for now. The same rust spot, discoloration doesn't reappear after I've cleaned the blade. On the other hand, I just got a few Global kitchen knives with lots of rust spots. I figure using knives for food and dishwashing them is more corrosive...
